Gail Ferguson


An Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, Dr. Ferguson's research focuses on 21st-century globalization and its impact on the cultural identity and well-being of adolescents and emerging adults. She also explores modern acculturation among immigrant (tridimensional acculturation) and non-immigrant (remote acculturation) youth and families, Caribbean adolescents and families on the islands and in North America, and positive adaptation of immigrant youth and families (psychological, physical, and academic adjustment).
