Dr. Laurie Kramer is Professor Emerita of Applied Family Studies in the Department of Human Development and family studies. Kramer was the Founding Director of the Family Resiliency Center and led initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of children, youth and families through multidisciplinary research, education and outreach. Kramer earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois in 1989 and performed her residency at Northwestern University Medical School. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois. Kramer served as the Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the University of Illinois College of ACES between 2007-2016.
