What are your areas of specialization? Community nutrition and public health research. I am proficient in conducting both qualitative and quantitative research studies. My health-promotion programs are framed within behavioral change theories. I have also been engaged in developing, instructing, and co-teaching community nutrition, research methods, and health disparities research courses.

What did you learn during your time at FRC as a postdoctoral research associate? 

During my 15-month postdoctorate experience at FRC, I learned how to conduct systematic reviews and gathered experience in flipping classroom teaching strategies, community-based participatory research methods, and research with minority groups.

What are your activities and interests outside of work? 

In my free time, I like to hike, spend time with my family, cook healthy foods, and volunteer in the community.
